Barabbas Campaign Headquarters, Undisclosed Location, Time Unknown
I’m here at the headquarters for the Barabbas campaign, where two rather burly campaign staffers have escorted me without ceremony or warning.
Their intent is not yet known, but the rest of the group seems friendly enough, though quiet, sharing freely of their wine and dried fish. This is a much more subdued group than I remembered from my previous coverage of Barry’s campaign.
When I ask about the secrecy, the replies are glares and hands slowly reaching for sword hilts. Curiosity does not seem to be very highly valued here.
I can only guess from the lack of activity and yet the absolute insistence that I stay where I was put, that we are now awaiting some sort of announcement. The Barabbas campaign has gained a reputation for a lack of announcements, seeming to rely solely on a word of mouth campaign strategy.
I can’t say how long it will be before we hear the news, whatever that might be, but I suspect I may be here for some time. I’ll see if I can get at least one interview with a supporter, or maybe someone from the campaign staff.
