Roman Praetorium 6:00 a.m. Roman Standard Time
We’re standing here at the Palace de la Skull, a rather unsavory looking hotel where Jesus has been put up during the trial. He is expected to appear later today with Governor Pilate for official sentencing.
Jesus was found guilty of tax fraud, despite the lack of evidence and a plethora of character witnesses. The jury found against him, and then turned around and acquitted Barabbas, who had all but withdrawn from the race after a scandal involving his sister and a Roman soldier who requested rather forcefully that his name be withheld from our reports.
Governor Pilate has the authority to overturn Jesus’ conviction if he so chooses, but Romans are known for dealing justice with swift brutality and this time is expected to be no different.
There is still no official word from the Jesus campaign, but it is not looking good for Jesus at this point.
