It’s a sad day here in the Heart of the Holy Land, especially for those in the Jesus campaign. We have heard the reports and now sources have confirmed that yes, John the Baptist, is indeed dead.
Details of his death have not yet been made public, but it appears to have been an execution.
John was a popular figure among the river crowds and naturalists. He has been long respected as a man of God, and his recent endorsement of his cousin Jesus led strong favor to the newcomer’s bid for election.
The mood here in the holy city is somber as we all prepare to say goodbye, and leave an extra chair out for the man we once called “The Voice in the Desert.”
Goodbye and good night to you, John. You will be missed.
