Welcome back to Messiah Watch. The city is in a state of upheaval today over the destruction of the giant abacus, which was virtually destroyed sometime in the night by unknown persons.
Erected just a few short months ago in the square, the purpose of the abacus was to keep track of polling data for the leading candidates in the Messianic election. Luckily, a set a scrolls with tallies has been kept in a secure location, and the polling data will remain intact while the abacus is rebuilt and the perpetrators brought to justice.
An unnamed Roman law enforcement officer has been quoted as saying that these kinds of acts of terror will not be tolerated in the province. There is no official word from the Praetorium at this time.
