The One Where I Went to the Library...

In my world, celebrating a birthday(particularly my own) means a trip to the library![insert shrieks of geeky delight here]  Today I had an appointment in town, so I went in early enough I could wander through the library and pick out whatever books caught my eye.

I did do a little intentional searching, but unfortunately for me the local library is seriously lacking in the authors I've been wanting to read.  They only have one Pat Rothfuss novel.  And I've already read it.

So I wandered through the fiction section, pulling out books and putting them back.  As usual, I ended up having to make a last minute decision on book number three(can't have fewer than three).  I just grabbed one with water on the cover, and it turned out to be Thomas Steinbeck's "Down to a Soundless Sea."  Awesome!

The other lucky books I checked out today are "Silent Voices" by Ann Cleeves, and "Whiteout" by Ken Follett.  I need to read more Follett, and the cover looked just like Wisconsin does today, so I thought, why not?

Happy reading to me! :)
