Hobbit Birthday

1/9/2016

Yesterday was my 33rd birthday, and according to Hobbit reckoning, I have now come of age.  I suppose that means I ought to think about settling down and beginning my life in earnest.  But what fun would that be?

Not being a true-born hobbit, I've already got a good start on the serious bits of life, but there are still adventures in my heart and I mean to put all of them to paper one day.

My traditional birthday trip to the library resulted in checking out only two books because I've learned that working and keeping house don't leave as much time for reading as I'd like.  Besides that, I'm still reading A Song of Ice and Fire, whilst catching up on season five of Game of Thrones.

I expect 2016 will be better than 2015, if only because I'm already familiar with this year's struggles.  Last year's first draft plans didn't go well.  This year I will focus on one story that is in dire need of an ending, and a fun little YA supernatural/faith book that I work on from time to time when the Spirit moves me.

Happy new year to everyone!  And happy reading!
