I wanted to finish some first drafts, or at least one. I did not attain that goal. I did, however, make progress, and got myself into a more serious attitude about writing that was less "fake it til you make it" and more "buckle down and get it done."
This year I will work on some older stories and even older ideas. I'll be experimenting with Scrivener and with outlining. My fantasy story will still be a discovery project because I still enjoy writing it that way.
My reading goal for 2017 is lower than I first intended, but since I will be finishing a lot of books I started reading in the last few years, I expect to exceed the goal. The Gilmore reading challenge is still on. I've already begun by picking up where I left off with Anna Karenina.
I expect good things from this year.
